Contemplating Art - What Makes Art?

Art? Artistic? You call that art?

Many theories exist about what art is and what art isn't. 

What do you think art is?

To me, art is a different lens that when used, engages our mind and emotions to offer a new way of looking at and appreciating  the world we live in.

There are many different types of art:

• Literary Arts involve the written word.
• Visual Arts- usually for the eyes only painting, photography, drawing, sculpting and so on.
• Performing Arts - music, theatre

Artisans versus Crafters?

A fine line exists between art and crafting. This is something I've struggled to understand and will probably continue to explore in this blog.
